FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When are royalty payments processed? Royalty payments are processed monthly, with payments generally issued approximately 60 days after the month in which production occurs. For example, a payment issued in July would typically reflect production from May. Payments are subject to a $50 minimum payment threshold. If an account balance does not meet the minimum threshold, the balance may be held until it reaches the required amount. A minimum annual payment release occurs for qualifying balances.

How is my royalty check calculated? Your royalty payment is calculated by multiplying your royalty interest by the gross proceeds from the well, then subtracting applicable taxes and deductions. Your check detail will show the production, gross value, royalty interest, taxes, deductions and resulting net payment.

Why does my payment amount vary? Your royalty payment may vary from month to month based on several factors, including changes in commodity prices and production volumes. Production volumes may be affected by, but not limited to, normal production declines as a well ages, as well as temporary mechanical or operational changes that affect production.

How do I see my royalty statement? Royalty statements are available online through EnergyLink, a secure service that provides convenient, 24/7 access to your royalty payment details. To access your statements, visit https://www.energylink.com and create or log in to your account using your owner number and information from a recent payment. Once registered, you can view and download your current and historical royalty statements. EnergyLink can also provide notifications when a new statement is available.

What if I do not receive my check? Please allow 20 business days after the issue date for your royalty check to arrive. If you do not receive your check within this timeframe, please contact ownerrelations@sabre-ep.com to request a replacement check. Please allow up to 30 days for a replacement check to be issued.

I have interest in a well but I have not received my revenue check. Why? If you have an interest in a producing well but have not received a revenue check, your account may be in suspense. Common reasons for suspense include an unresolved title requirement, an unknown or outdated address, an uncashed revenue check, or revenue that has not yet reached the minimum payment threshold required by applicable law. If you believe your account should be receiving payments, please contact Owner Relations for assistance.

Who do I contact regarding my revenue check? For quickest resolution, contact Owner Relations by phone (405-267-9691) or email (ownerrelations@sabre-ep.com). Our mailing address is: OWNER RELATIONS PO Box 794053 Dallas, TX 75379

How do I sign up for direct deposit? To have your royalty payments deposited directly into your bank account, please complete the ACH/Direct Deposit Form and email or mail to Owner Relations. Direct deposit provides a convenient and secure way to receive your royalty payments.

What is a 1099? A 1099 is a tax form that reports royalty payments made to you during the tax year. For royalty payments totaling $10 or more during the year, a 1099 will be provided. Your 1099 reports the applicable gross payment information for the tax year and should be retained for your tax records.

What if my banking information changes? If you have changed banks or your banking information has changed, please complete a new ACH/Direct Deposit Form to update your payment information. Be sure to submit the updated form promptly to avoid delays in receiving your royalty payments.

How do I change my address? If you have changed your mailing address, please complete the Change of Address Form. Keeping your address current helps ensure that royalty payments and important correspondence reach you without delay.

How do I submit information for a change in Ownership? Please refer to the Change of Ownership Matrix under Forms and submit the required documentation.
